La SNU aplicó y obtuvo el apoyo de IBRO en su llamado IBRO Diversity Grants 2021 para realizar el taller “Visibilizing diversity and equity in Uruguayan and Latinamerican Neuroscience. Enforcing the Code of Conduct”.

Mission and Vision of Event:
Mission: The goals of this event are to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in Latin-American neuroscience; discuss and identify the main barriers faced by women and minorities inside the neuroscience community; spread and endorse the Code of Conduct of the Uruguayan Neuroscience Society; and offer training in the writing and application of a code of conduct.
Vision: To establish a strong commitment and engagement of the Latin-American neuroscience societies to ensure diversity and equal opportunities in neuroscience, accompanied by an extensive application of a comprehensive Code of Conduct.
Detailed Event Description:
This event will consist of a two-day workshop, with a first day of a training workshop in the writing and application of a Code of Conduct, by professionals in the matter, followed by a second day of lectures and discussion by leading figures in diversity and equity in neuroscience.
